  • 'Wepster', tested as OSU 894.030, resulted from a cross of 'Tonda Pacifica' (Mehlenbacher et al., 2011b) × OSU 440.005 made in 1997 by Shawn A. Mehlenbacher and David C. Smith.

  • 'Wepster' will produce trees that are 80% to 100% of Barcelona. Trees will have an upright vase shape form.

  • 'Wepster' has a high resistance to both Eastern Filbert blight and bud mite. These trees can be planted in high disease pressure areas.

  • 'Wepster' roots abundantly from layer beds. It can also be produced from TC, Soft Wood Cuttings, and Suckering tie-off.
